Application
Molybdenum discs are widely used as contact materials in silicon controlled rectifiers' diodes, transistors and thyristors (GTO'S). Due to its lower cost and weight, molybdenum substrates are now accepted as the first choice for power semiconductor devices other than in specialist applications.
